Chitipa United FC forward Zenga Manda marked a key milestone in his early season campaign after completing his first full 90 minutes in the club’s narrow 3-2 defeat to Moyale Barracks at Rumphi Stadium.
The striker, who had previously featured as a second-half substitute on his debut and missed the second match, was handed a full start and responded with a tireless shift across the pitch. From the first whistle, Manda showed intent, registering an early shot on target and consistently stretching the Moyale defence with his movement and pressing.
Despite Chitipa United falling behind in a tightly contested match, Manda remained active in attack and worked tirelessly throughout the game. His persistence was rewarded deep into stoppage time when he reacted quickest inside the box to pull one back in the 93rd minute, capping off a determined display.
The performance highlighted his growing confidence, match fitness, and importance in Chitipa United’s attacking structure moving forward. It also reflected his resilience after a stop-start introduction to the season.
With Chitipa United now turning attention to a home fixture against Civil Service United FC, Manda is likely expected to remain a key attacking option as he continues to build rhythm and consistency.
